I also included pics from our two previous days of shooting (March 22 [...]

Are You Destined for Youtube Fame? Probably Not.

Have you ever dreamt of Youtube fame? Dave Carrol certainly didn’t. So imagine his surprise when his video for “United Breaks Guitars” went viral on Youtube, generating millions of views, and a call from the Oprah Winfrey show.
Carroll said that his song got six hits the night he posted it, and he was impressed by [...]

Nine Inch Nails Farewell Tour?!?

I’ve just caught wind of the Nine Inch Nails “farewell tour.” Bummer. I’ll have to dig more into this. I’m not sure if Trent is working on a new project or just a burnt out. I know he’s one of the few artists to successfully market themselves without a record label, so I doubt Trent [...]

I Want You Back: Michael Jackson Memorial Highlights

Michael Jackson’s memorial today was an incredible tribute to an incredible performer. Michael Jackson will be forever missed. Though I was just one of millions who watched the three hour memorial, this was a day I, and many others, will surely never forget. I think a lot of people all around the world laughed and [...]

Rep Pete King calls Michael Jackson a “Low Life Pervert”

A video just surfaced of conservative Congressman Pete King (R-NY) calling Michael Jackson a “low life,” “pervert” and a “pedophile” on the eve of Jackson’s memorial at Staples Center.
Pete King obviously has no regard for Michael’s children, who just lost their father, or for the rest of Jackson family during [...]

Review: Ripped, How The Wired Generation Revolutionized Music

I recently finished a book called “Ripped: How The Wired Generation Revolutionized Music” from Chicago-based music journalist Greg Kot. Kot is one of the most respected music critics around. I grew up reading his reviews in the Chicago Tribune and happily bought his book when I stumbled upon it on Amazon a couple of weeks [...]
